Hard to see in this shot.
No lights in the bathroom.
They came and re-surfaced part of the tub.
They noticed in the bottom it was coming apart.
Years ago the tub split, and we hired someone to resurface the tub fix the split, and put a hardening foam under the tub. They did a bad job.
The tub guy peeled the fiberglass piece up in one chunk.
He said on the bright side since the previous person did such a crappy job it will make it easier for him to remove all the old so he can use the proper materials.
He said the old fix was the right idea, but all the wrong products.
He did all of the tub except the bottom. The part he did looks great! like new.
He will be spending the whole day here fixing the rest next Friday.
I was in the crawlspace today removing an extension cord that was stapled to the floor joists.
I noticed something weird in the area of the tub.
It was foam. It is like Styrofoam, and really soft. I can see why it was not the correct stuff to use to support the bottom of the tub.
